    A missed connection is a missed opportunity. Maybe you’ve seen or chatted to someone who you really fancied or wanted to get in touch with but didn’t get their number? Perhaps you’ve been caught up in a situation where you couldn’t get someone’s contact details? It’s so frustrating! Our mission is to give you a second chance to find them and get back in touch where ever you are in the world.
  • 2. How will Chancedit.com find the person I’m looking for?

    There are two ways to find missed connections. You can post missed connections and search for missed connections - How it Works. We use the encounter date, location and description of the circumstances to put people together. It’s a process of elimination and the technology we use can match keywords in seconds.
  • 3. How can I improve my chances of finding a missed connection?

    That’s simple - we rely on the information you provide. When posting a missed connection make sure you include a good description of you, them and the encounter circumstances. Don't forget to upload a photo of yourself! When searching for a missed connection try our advanced search for better results which includes a wider date search.
  • 4. How will Chancedit.com use my email address and other personal information?

    We use your personal information strictly in accordance with our Privacy & Cookies Policy. Chancedit.com is committed to safeguarding your personal information.
  • 5. Why does Chancedit.com ask for my birthday?

    You must be 18 years old or older to use the site. Your age is needed as part of our security process and will never appear on the site.
  • 6. Will Chancedit.com keep me anonymous on the site?

    Yes, all your personal details provided when you register including your name and email address will be kept private. Only your username, missed connection posting and photo will be shown on the public areas of the site. Please remember not to include any last names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, web site addresses or other personal information in your username or missed connection posting.

    Chancedit.com offers a safe and fun environment that gives you control over your missed connection experiences. Please read our common sense Safety guidelines.
  • 8. How long will my posting remain on Chancedit.com?

    4 weeks - we think that’s enough time for a connection to happen. You can always post another missed connection at any time as there’s no limit or delete postings whenever you want. You can search for archived postings older than 4 weeks by using our advanced search.
  • 9. How much does it cost to use Chancedit.com?

    Nothing, nada, not a bean, it’s free!
  • 10. What should I do if I see inappropriate or illegal behaviour/material?

    If you believe behaviour or material on Chancedit.com infringes your rights or is illegal, notify us immediately by clicking the “Report” link on the relevant missed connection posting or email notify@chancedit.com. Chancedit.com will remove any material that breaches our Terms of Use.

    We need the following information to be able to process your complaint (a) your contact details (b) description and location of behaviour or material (c) description of complaint (d) a statement by you confirming the information given by you is accurate. Where you believe material infringes your rights confirm you have the right to make the complaint and you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorised. Where you believe material is defamatory confirm that you have reviewed the material and state in good faith that the material is untrue and harmful to your reputation.
