  • We collect personal information when you register with Chancedit.com and when you visit Chancedit.com pages.
  • When you register with Chancedit.com we ask for your name, gender, post code, country location, email address and birth date to enable us to provide you with the Chancedit.com service.
  • Chancedit.com also automatically collects information from your browser including your computer’s IP address and Chancedit.com cookie information. This information is not used to track online movements to develop a personal profile of you.
  • Chancedit.com complies with the Data Protection Act 1998 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003.
  • Chancedit.com takes appropriate security measures to help safeguard personal information from unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure.

  • Chancedit.com uses your personal information for purposes including:
  • (a) to email you service administration announcements. For example, you may receive an email alerting you to a new personal message sent by a user or reminding you of your log in details.
  • (b) to email you about any material posted or transmitted by you on Chancedit.com. For example, a missed connection posted by you.
  • (c) to email you invitations to voluntarily complete surveys about the Chancedit.com service or enter competitions.
  • (d) to email you for marketing purposes or about new services only where you have specifically agreed to be emailed for these purposes.
  • (e) to personalise the way Chancedit.com content is presented to you.
  • (f) to analyse and improve the Chancedit.com service.
  • (g) use your personal information without identifying you as an individual to third parties. We do this for purposes such as managing our relationship with advertisers or auditing usage of the site.

  • When you visit Chancedit.com a short text file called a “session cookie” is downloaded to your computer. Session cookies are temporary cookies that remain in the cookie file of your browser until you leave the site. This session cookie allows you to (a) carry information across pages of the site and avoid having to re-enter information (b) access stored information within your account.   • 4. ALLOWING AND BLOCKING COOKIES


  • You can configure your browser to allow all cookies, delete or block all cookies or notify you when a cookie is set. If you block all cookies you may not be able to use certain features of Chancedit.com.

  • 5. UPDATING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION


  • You may edit your profile and preferences at any time by logging into your account and going to “Edit Profile”. Please update your personal information if it changes or is inaccurate.

  • 6. DELETING POSTINGS AND MESSAGES


  • You may delete any missed connection postings created by you or personal messages received by you at any time by logging into your account and going to “My Posts” and “Messages” respectively. Personal messages sent to other users can only be deleted if you cancel your registration.

  • 7. CANCELLING YOUR REGISTRATION


  • If you wish to cancel your registration email us at notify@chancedit.com from the email address registered with Chancedit.com and we will disable your account and remove all your missed connection postings from the public areas of the site. Your account will then be permanently deleted as soon as reasonably possible. Note, once your account has been deleted you will not be able to retrieve any of the content or information.

  • 8. HOW LONG WILL CHANCEDIT.COM KEEP YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION FOR?


  • We hold your personal information on our backup systems for a reasonable period of time after you have cancelled your registration.

  • 9. FINDING OUT WHAT PERSONAL INFORMATION CHANCEDIT.COM HOLDS ABOUT YOU


  • Under the Data Protection Act 1998 you have the right to (a) request a copy of the personal information Chancedit.com holds about you (we charge £10 for information requests) (b) have any inaccuracies corrected in your personal information (this is free).
  • Please address requests to the Data Protection Officer at the address below.

  • 10. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY


  • We may change this policy at any time by amending this page. If you use Chancedit.com after we have posted changes you are agreeing to be bound by this policy as amended.
